The Co-op Credit Union uses an online service which meets the requirement of anti-money laundering legislation, allowing us to verify the identity of new members. If we cannot find out enough information about you we reserve the right to ask for documentation.

The Co-op Credit Union will process your data in accordance with your rights under data protection legislation. Your personal details will only be shared with licensed credit reference agencies and for debt recovery purposes, should this be necessary. For further information, please see our privacy policy.

Your eligible deposits with us are protected up to a total of £85,000 by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, the UK’s deposit protection scheme. Any deposits you hold above the £85,000 limit are not covered. For further information please visit www.fscs.org.uk.
